Overview

Used Redirack Pallet Racking — installed & certified

Our network is stocked with high-quality used Redirack pallet racking right now, ready to ship across Ontario and beyond. Buying used Redirack is one of the fastest, most cost-effective ways to add reliable warehouse storage — typically at a fraction of the price of new racking, with the same load capacity and durability the Redirack name is known for.

We handle the entire process from start to finish. After matching available stock to your warehouse layout and storage requirements, we arrange shipping and provide professional installation at your facility. Once installed, we certify the completed system so it meets safety standards and you're up and running with confidence. Whether you're expanding an existing setup or outfitting a new space, our team makes sure every beam, frame, and upright is sound, properly configured, and ready for the loads you need to store.

Tell us your requirements — your footprint, beam levels, and load weights — and we'll match available used Redirack inventory to your layout.

What to look at before you buy used racking

Used racking is a good buy when you know what you are getting. These are the things that decide whether a component goes back into service or goes to the scrap bin.

What gets checked

  • Columns sighted for straightness and twist, front to back and side to side
  • Base plates flat, undeformed, with anchor holes that are still round
  • Welds at the base and at every brace intact, with no cracking
  • Beam end connectors square, with no elongated pins or missing safety clips
  • Surface rust versus pitting — one is cosmetic, the other is not

What does not go back in

  • Bent or previously straightened columns — steel that has yielded once is not the same steel
  • Cracked welds or field-welded repairs of unknown origin
  • Damaged connectors, since the connection is where the load actually transfers
  • Components with no traceable capacity

Matching what you already own

  • Connector styles differ by manufacturer — beams from one brand do not reliably seat in another brand's frame
  • Within a bay, keep frames and beams to one system
  • Measure your existing frames and beam step before you order, or send us photos of the connector
  • Tell us if you are extending a Redirack pallet racking run and we will match the profile

Capacity, in writing

  • Beam capacity changes with length and profile — a longer beam of the same section carries less
  • Frame capacity depends on height, beam spacing and depth
  • We identify what you are buying and give you ratings for the configuration you are building
  • Load signage should reflect the rack as built, not the catalogue
Deciding

Used or new?

Most warehouses end up with both. The question is which one belongs in which part of the building.

Used usually wins when

  • You are extending a system you already own and the profile still exists
  • The sizes are standard and the loads are well inside the ratings
  • Budget is the constraint and the storage is not the bottleneck in your operation
  • You need bulk storage, seasonal overflow or a staging area rather than a precision pick face

New usually wins when

  • You need matched components across a large install, delivered as one system
  • Heights, spans or loads fall outside standard configurations
  • Full engineering documentation matters — for example ahead of a Pre-Start Health and Safety Review
  • The rack is going somewhere it will take daily lift-truck contact and you want the newest steel there

We quote both, and we will tell you when used is the wrong call — send us the layout.

Supply

Where used racking comes from

Reconditioned racking comes out of real buildings — facilities that are closing, relocating, or reconfiguring around a new process.

Clearing a facility?

  • We quote teardown and removal as its own scope of work
  • Racking worth reconditioning can come off the disposal side of your budget
  • Send bay dimensions, beam lengths, frame heights and a rough count to get a number
  • Photos of the frame connector tell us more than a spec sheet does

Buying from stock

  • Inventory turns, so availability is quoted against what is on the floor that week
  • Tell us the pallet size, the load weight and the ceiling height rather than a part number
  • Mixed loads are normal — used frames with new beams, or the reverse
  • Wire mesh decks, row spacers, column guards and end-of-aisle protection are quoted with the rack, not after it
Questions

Used pallet racking FAQ

Common questions from Ontario warehouse and facility managers.

Is used racking safe?
Yes — we inspect components and a professional engineer certifies the installed system for your intended use and load. We don't install anything that isn't sound.
Can you certify the racking?
We supply, install and certify anywhere in Ontario. Certification documents are provided for your records and insurer.
Do you ship across Ontario?
Yes. We arrange shipping and provide start-to-finish installation at your facility province-wide.
How do I find out what's in stock?
Send us your requirements — pallet counts, weights and ceiling height — and we'll match available network inventory to your layout and quote it.
Is used pallet racking safe?
It is, as long as the components are sound and the configuration is rated. Steel does not wear out sitting still — what takes racking out of service is impact damage, corrosion and bad repairs. Anything bent, cracked or field-welded gets replaced rather than reused.
Can I mix used and new components?
Across a building, yes. Within a single bay, keep to one manufacturer's system — connector profiles differ between brands and a beam that looks like it fits is not the same as a beam that is rated to fit. Send us a photo of your frame connector and we will match it.
Do you supply load capacities for used racking?
Yes. We identify the components and give you ratings for the configuration you are building, so you can post accurate load signage. Capacity is a property of the whole configuration — beam length, frame height and beam spacing all move the number.
Will used racking pass a Pre-Start Health and Safety Review?
Used racking is not disqualified by being used, but a review looks at the installed system and its documentation. If a PSR is in your plan, tell us early — it changes what documentation we put together with the quote.
Do you install what you sell?
Yes — installation and teardown across Southern Ontario, and inspection and repairs afterward.
