Frequently Asked Questions
What does rack netting actually protect against?
It stops stored product from falling out of racking into the space where people work — whether it’s knocked loose by a forklift, a broken pallet, or a carton pushed through the back of a bay. The netting keeps that product on the rack and off the aisle, walkway or workstation below.
Do the panels come in standard sizes?
No — the panels are made to measure for your racking. Each bay is different, so netting cut to size is what eliminates the gaps at the corners and ends where product would otherwise slip through. That made-to-measure fit is the safest option for back-of-rack protection.
What are the offset brackets for?
Offset brackets hold the netting away from the stored product — anywhere from flushmount out to 12″ — so the net has room to absorb an impact instead of being pinned against the load. The offset is specified to your rack depth.
Can you protect above the top of the rack?
Yes. Where product can go higher than the top beam, frame extensions carry the netting above the rack itself for full-height coverage — common on tall racking and pick towers.
What’s horizontal rack netting?
Horizontal netting runs overhead to protect crews who enter racking bays to access product and could have something fall on them from a level above. It’s also used for tunnel and pass-through applications where a walkway runs through the racking.
Do you install, or just supply the netting?
Both. We measure, engineer and supply the system, and our crews install it — anchoring the brackets, hanging and tensioning the netting and rigging it to your rack structure. If you also need the racking checked, ask us about rack inspection and repairs.
