Sheet tower with removable steel cartridges of raw sheet material
Overview

Feed your cutting machines without the clutter

A sheet tower stores raw sheet vertically in removable steel cartridges, stacked in a compact tower. When a job calls for material, a forklift pulls a full cartridge and delivers it straight to a laser, plasma or water-jet cutting machine — no digging through pallets, no sheets leaning against walls.

Because the tower stacks cartridges vertically, it holds roughly twice the material of a standard pallet rack or cantilever system in the same floor area. Replacing loose pallets and piles with organized cartridges frees significant floor space — room your team can use to move more safely or to add production machinery within the existing layout.

Benefits

Why a sheet tower beats pallets and floor stacks

Double the capacity

Vertical cartridge storage holds up to 200% of a standard pallet rack or cantilever rack in the same footprint.

Direct machine feed

Cartridges deliver raw sheet by forklift straight to laser, plasma and water-jet machines.

Fork-ready cartridges

Each cartridge has built-in fork pockets and lips on three sides to keep material secure in transport.

Cleaner, safer floor

Fewer piles and pallets mean clearer aisles and safer movement for personnel.

Better inventory control

One cartridge per material type makes grades and gauges easy to find and track.

Room to grow

The floor space you reclaim can hold additional production machinery in the same layout.

Applications

Who uses sheet towers

Built for fabrication shops and plants running laser, plasma and water-jet cutting lines that consume raw sheet by the pallet. If your cutting machines are fed from floor stacks or scattered pallets, a sheet tower tightens material flow and reclaims the floor around your most expensive equipment.

Questions

Sheet tower FAQ

What is a sheet tower?
A vertical storage system that holds raw sheet in removable steel cartridges stacked in a compact tower. A forklift pulls a full cartridge and delivers the material directly to a cutting machine.
How much material can it hold?
Each cartridge carries 5,000 lb, and the tower’s vertical design holds about 200% of a standard pallet rack or cantilever rack in the same floor space.
What machines can it feed?
It’s designed to deliver raw sheet by forklift to laser, plasma and water-jet cutting machines using removable cartridges with built-in fork pockets.
What sizes are available?
Towers come in heights of 8′, 10′, 12′, 14′, 16′ and 18′, with cartridges from 4′×8′ up to 6′×12′.
How is it different from a roll-out sheet rack?
A roll-out sheet rack stores sheet and dies in drawers picked from the side; a sheet tower stores full cartridges fed to cutting machines by forklift for higher volume. See our roll-out sheet rack page.
Are they made in Canada?
Yes, all of our sheet storage systems are manufactured in Canada and installed across Ontario.
