Frequently Asked Questions
What’s the difference between barrier netting and rack netting?
Rack netting attaches to your pallet racking to catch product falling out of the rack. A barrier net system is a free-standing vertical wall of netting on its own columns — used to separate walkways and workstations from bulk or stacked product that isn’t necessarily in racking. Many sites use both.
How do you decide how strong the net needs to be?
It’s engineered to your application — we look at the weight of the product, the height being protected and the surrounding area, then specify the net strength, column sizes and bracing to match. The heavier or higher the load, the more the whole system is built up to hold it.
Do I need to add columns, or can you use my building’s?
Either. We can utilize your existing building columns, supply engineered (ENG) columns where there’s nothing to tie into, or use a combination of both — whatever gives the barrier a rigid, properly braced structure for your layout.
How high does the barrier go?
As high as your product needs it to. The height is set to where bulk or stacked product actually reaches — a lower run where loads are modest, or full-height netting where product is piled or stored high next to people.
Where are barrier nets typically used?
Anywhere stacked or bulk product sits next to a walkway, aisle or workstation and could fall onto someone — along traffic routes, around bulk storage zones, and between storage areas and the people working beside them.
Do you install, or just supply?
Both. We engineer and supply the system and our crews install it — setting the columns, bracing the frame and hanging the netting. If you also store on pallet racking, ask about pairing it with rack netting for back-of-rack protection.
