Weld Cell Protection That Gets Out of the Way
Every welding cell needs screening — UV flash, sparks and grinding debris can’t be allowed to reach the rest of the floor. But fixed weld screens create their own problem: they block forklifts, block overhead cranes, and force operators to drag heavy stationary panels around every time a large part moves in or out. A retractable weld screen solves both sides. The curtain lives on a spring-tension roller post; the operator walks it out, hooks it to a J-hook on the opposite post, and welds. Unhook it and the curtain retracts itself — leaving a completely open cell for material handling.
One Screen, an Open Cell
Each screen is a roller post, a tinted welding curtain and a latch point — combine them to enclose a single bay or an entire welding department.
Walk-Out & Latch
When welding starts, the operator walks the curtain from the roller post and hooks it opposite — spring tension keeps the screen taut across spans up to 20 feet. Seconds to deploy, no tools.
Self-Retracting When Idle
Unlatch and the curtain rolls itself home. Forklifts drive straight into the cell, oversized parts crane in from above — no overhead suspension, no panels to drag out of the way.
Fixed or Mobile Posts
Bolt the pedestals down for a permanent cell, or spec caster bases and roll the whole weld cell to wherever the work is — temporary cells, maintenance welding, changing line layouts.
Tinted & Opaque Shades
Semi-transparent tinted PVC lets supervisors see into the cell while blocking harmful UV; opaque curtains give full visual isolation. Multiple shade colours available, 100% replaceable.

What welding processes are the screens rated for?
The curtains are designed for TIG, MIG and stick welding — blocking UV flash, sparks, heat and flying debris. The fire-retardant, CFM-rated PVC is purpose-made welding screen material, not general-purpose tarp.
Semi-transparent or opaque — which curtain should I choose?
Semi-transparent 14 mil tinted curtains block harmful UV while letting supervisors and forklift traffic see activity inside the cell — the most common choice. Opaque 18 oz curtains fully isolate the cell visually, useful where adjacent workstations face the arc directly. You can mix both across one layout.
How big an area can one screen cover?
A standard curtain spans up to 20 feet at 5’6″ high; custom curtains go to 25 feet wide and 6 feet high. Because up to four curtains connect to a single post and curtains can latch to walls, beams or existing structure, you can chain screens to enclose a full welding department.
Do the posts need to be bolted to the floor?
No. Posts work free-standing with ballast (roughly 145 lbs per post ballasted), can be bolted down for permanent cells, or fitted with mobile caster bases so the entire weld cell can be rolled to a new location in minutes.
What happens when a curtain gets damaged?
Curtains are 100% replaceable — they attach with simple J-hooks, so a damaged curtain swaps out in minutes without replacing posts or hardware. Replacement curtains are available in both materials and multiple shade colours.
What about welding fume containment?
