Indoff Canada supplies and installs warehouse storage and material handling equipment across Southern Ontario, and operates this website at industrialequip.net. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, and what we do with it. We handle personal information in accordance with Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).

Information you give us

When you request a quote, fill in a contact form, or start a live chat, we ask for information needed to respond to you:

  • Name
  • Company name
  • Email address
  • Phone number
  • The product or service you are asking about, and any project details you choose to share

You can also reach us by phone or email without providing anything through this website.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, ours records limited technical information when you visit, including your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view, how long you stay, and the site or search that referred you. This is collected through cookies and similar technologies, described below.

How we use your information

  • To answer your enquiry and prepare a quote
  • To supply, deliver and install the equipment you order, and to provide support afterward
  • To follow up on quotes and maintain our business relationship with you

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not rent or trade it.

  • Essential and functional — WordPress and our caching system use cookies to make the site work and load quickly.

Who we share information with

We share personal information only where it is needed to run our business:

  • Service providers who operate systems on our behalf — our website host, our customer relationship management system (Zoho), our email provider, our live chat provider, and Google and Meta for analytics and advertising.
  • Manufacturers, suppliers and installation contractors, where sharing your contact and project details is necessary to quote, supply or install what you have asked for.
  • Where required by law, such as in response to a valid legal request.

Storage outside Canada. Some of the service providers above store and process data on servers located in the United States and other countries. While your information is held outside Canada it may be accessible to the courts and law enforcement of that country under its laws.

How long we keep it

We keep quote and enquiry records for as long as needed to serve you and to meet our business and legal record-keeping obligations. Where a quote does not lead to an order, we keep the record for a reasonable period in case you come back to us, and we delete or anonymize information when it is no longer needed.

Security

This site is served over an encrypted connection, and access to our customer records is limited to people who need it to do their jobs. No system is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information against loss, misuse and unauthorized access.

Your choices and your rights

You may ask us to confirm what personal information we hold about you, to correct anything inaccurate, or to stop contacting you. You may withdraw your consent to our use of your information at any time, subject to legal and contractual limits and reasonable notice — though this may mean we can no longer provide a quote or service. Marketing emails include an unsubscribe link, and you can also ask us directly to be removed.

To make a request, contact us using the details below. We will respond within a reasonable time. If you are not satisfied with our response, you have the right to contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

Children

This website is intended for businesses. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date at the top shows when it was last revised.
